Spinal Decompression in Lancaster

Chiropractic Lancaster PA Spinal Decompression

Spinal Decompression Therapy in Lancaster is a non-surgical, non-invasive traction based therapy to help reduce low back, neck, leg, and arm pain. Spinal Decompression relieves pain by reducing pressure on the spinal discs and facet joints, making it effective for

  • "Pinched" nerves in neck and back
  • Sciatica
  • Disc herniations, bulging discs, ruptured discs
  • Degenerative discs
  • Failed back surgery
  • Facet Syndrome

Dr. Ries of UltraHealth Chiropractic has achieved the status of "Certified Practitioner" in spinal decompression by completing the Kennedy Decompression Technique coursework and passing the qualification exam.

How Does Spinal Decompression Work In Lancaster?

We use a Kennedy Decompression System which has a computerized pulling system and a multi-positional table. The computer controls the variations in the traction force allowing for spinal decompression and eliminating muscle guarding that is typical in conventional traction devices. The program will pull with a designated force for a designated amount of time and cycle down to a lower designated force for a designated time, and then back to the higher force, and so on … creating a negative pressure within the disc. Because of that negative pressure, disc material that has protruded or herniated can be pulled back within the normal confines of the disc, and permit healing to occur. The negative pressure also allows increased blood flow to the disc, which can speed healing.
